Booking.com said it was working to clean up the damage at the entrance to the building. "We were shocked by the state of our office this morning and our first priority is the safety of our employees. We are assessing the situation with the police, who are conducting an investigation," a spokesperson said in a brief statement.

Booking.com's office in central Amsterdam has previously been the site of protests, including by pro-Palestinian activists who argue that the company should stop renting properties in the West Bank. Climate activists have also protested at the site in the past.
