Oct 17, 2024

New research from Accenture shows that 66% of travelers are dissatisfied with current planning options, with 48% finding booking the most difficult stage. The process remains fragmented, requiring separate bookings and payments for hotels, flights, activities and more.

Key takeaways

  • Nearly two-thirds (64%) of travelers say the lack of bundling options to create a seamlessly connected trip is their biggest challenge;
  • 97% of travelers want a travel "super app." They want something that provides one-stop, integrated access to a full range of travel-related services, including personalized, inspiring destination ideas, flights, dining and everything in between;
  • But 61% of travelers also say they find navigating apps and websites complex. And 56% say the lack of options to customize or filter content increases the time it takes to make a decision and, in some cases, prevents them from making a decision at all.
