No more business travel focus for American Airlines
The airline is signaling a lessening emphasis on contracted corporate travel
During its January earning call, chief commercial officer Vasu Raja pointed to the carrier's declining reliance on contracted corporate travel.
About 30% of American's revenue comes from leisure, with 45% from blended trips with both business and leisure components, and about 25% from what the carrier calls traditional business trips - down 10% from the 35% it has been historically.
