Online platform tourism booming across Europe

In the first three months of this year, the trend of overnight stays booked through online platforms showed a strong growth compared to the same period in 2023

The trend is up 28.3 per cent in the first quarter compared to the same period last year: 123.7 million nights were booked in short-term rental accommodations through Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group or TripAdvisor. In 2023, Andalusia, Adriatic Croatia, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur are the most popular regions.
