Sojern lays off staff company-wide
The digital marketing platform for hotels, attractions, destinations and airlines, laid off about 20% of its workforce last week
The company said the layoffs were "primarily associated with our legacy managed service offerings. As customers gravitate towards newer Sojern Platform solutions, we are focusing our investment against those areas."
While the company remains profitable, its executives and the board of directors agree that the best course of action to ensure long-term profitable growth is to reduce expenses for the upcoming year.
Founded in 2007, Sojern provides clients with data on travel intent, historical bookings, guest loyalty, benchmarking, supply and inventory and more. The company has raised more than $170 million in the past.
